Lisa Weasel received an A.B. magna cum laude in Biology from Harvard, and her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral fellowship and a National Science Foundation CAREER Award for her interdisciplinary research investigating the social and ethical dimensions of biotechnology in a global context.  She is currently an Associate Professor of Biology at Portland State University in Oregon.
